Happy WEDNESDAY everyone! I just started a new audiobook on Audible and figured I would share with you my thoughts on the recent books! I started listening to audiobooks sometime last year and haven’t stopped since! I think my favorite books are self-help books and non-fiction, but it doesn’t hurt to change it up a bit every once in a while.
If you missed my last post on my audiobook reviews, see it here.
Amy Schumer is hilarious in this book! There are definitely some serious parts, however overall it is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone! Â I especially love that Amy is the one reading the audiobook.
I’m sure you may have heard of the recent show on Netflix called ‘GirlBoss’- it is based on this book about Sophia Amoruso, CEO and founder of NastyGal (currently through EBates- get 15% off). Sophia shares her story of how she got to where she is today. I read this book last year, and also purchased it on audio a few months after reading it just to listen to it. I could keep listening to this book on repeat and I would never get sick of it.
Similar to #GirlBoss and You Are A BADASS (reviewed in my other post), this book is for all of those girls out there who want to become women, teaching how to gain confidence and build your business dreams! I would definitely recommend this book for any women out there looking to better themselves!
The Hopefuls: A Novel
This was such a long book, and very interesting until the end. Â To me, the book kind of just ended and left me with lots of questions. I felt like it was very drawn out, just to have the climax come quickly and then the book was just over… I wouldn’t suggest this one! Definitely a miss for me!
Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body
Kate Hudson shows her views on health, personal look and more in this book. Â I just love the way she views the world and I finished this book with a smile! It definitely helps that she is the one reading this audiobook as well!
Amy Poehler is hilarious in this book, however I did feel that it was dragging on a bit, and there were times where I stopped listening. It could’ve been my situation in my vehicle while listening, but I’m not entirely sure. Â I might try to listen to this one again soon!
I have so many more audiobooks on my wish list, and have a few in queue ready to listen to. Tell me what some of your favorite books are in the comments below! I would love some more suggestions! Also, if you’ve read (or listened to) any of these, let me know your thoughts!
As always, thanks for reading!
Until next time,
