Sunglasses Dupe | Quay x Desi High Key | Style Sunday

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all having an amazing weekend so far! I am IN LOVE with the Quay Australia brand of sunglasses. If you haven’t heard of the Quay (pronounced “key”) brand, then you can check them out here.

As much as I am so in love with their sunglasses, their pricing just isn’t in my budget right now.  I am more of an ‘under $12 pair of sunglasses’ kinda girl. Mainly because I tend to lose them, drop them and/or break them! Anyone else with me on this?!

The Sunglasses

My favorite, most recent line of sunglasses from Quay is the collab with Desi Perkins, and I am especially fond of the High Key sunnies in gold. They boast a lightweight, oversized gold frame with gold reflective lenses. Sizing for these sunglasses is- width: 143mm. height: 55mm. Nose Gap: 19mm. Typical price is $65 for these shades.

The Dupe

Now, the recent dupe I found is so similar and less than a fifth of the price (yes, 1/5) of the High Key sunnies!! The one’s I found were on Amazon from a brand called ZeroUV. I have a few sunglasses from this brand via Amazon and I have loved them all and have had no issues. The ones I found that are similar to High Key have a super lightweight gold frame with brown/gold lenses. Sizing for these sunglasses is- lens width (per lens): 58 mm. Lens height: 51 mm. Bridge: 18 mm. Shop them here!!

BONUS: right now on Amazon, you can save 15% off when you purchase 2 items from zeroUV.

The Difference

Now, these are a little bit different than the High Keys. The width is a little different, but the other sizes are about the same.  The top bar on the Quay sunnies runs smoothly along the top of the glasses frame, where the ZeroUV shades have an almost separate bar across the top. Lastly, the lens is a little more brown than the gold reflective lenses on the High Key sunglasses. Other than those things, these sunglasses are very similar.

Although Desi’s High Keys are to die for, I highly recommend trying out the ZeroUV glasses if the Quay sunnies are not in your budget!

Do you own a pair of Desi’s High Key’s? Tell me below what your thoughts are if you do!

Thanks for reading!

Until next time,

Great dupes. I’m wary of spending too much on sunglasses after my toddler broke my Chanel ones last year.

Hi great review! I ordered the high keys online and had to return them because they were too big 🙁 are these ones wider or shorter in width across the face compared the high keys? If smaller I might try these ones!

Hi Ariana, these are going to be quite a bit smaller. I have the dimensions in the post, but here they are again:
ZeroUV lists is per lens: 58 mm per lens. Lens height: 51 mm. Bridge: 18 mm
High Keys: Width: 143mm. Height: 55mm. Nose Gap: 19mm.

      Hope this helps!!
