Beauty Mix | Brown Tones – Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the Beauty Mix Series in collaboration with Ashleigh, Jasmine & Lily. This week’s makeup look is all about “Brown Tones”. If you missed last week’s look, you can view it here.

Beauty Mix - September (1)

I used a few new products in this week’s look that I haven’t used before. I tried out the Morphe Brushes Beauty Sponge, which I loved! I also tried out the Wunderbrow gel that I’ve been hearing everyone rave about. It took me a bit to do my brows, and I thought I loved it, but watch the video and see my thoughts! You can see in the video how long it took (thankfully it’s sped up). I also tried out the Vegas Nay eyelashes in the style Easy Elegance. All of the products I used will be listed below, and included in my YouTube video as well.

Let me know if you like the videos, or if you’d rather just read the post. I’d love to keep filming the looks, but only if you’re interested in watching them! Go subscribe and like the video for more looks! Continue reading

Going from summer to fall, a light flowy top like this Alecia Shift Dress is perfect! Pair it with some ankle booties and a hat or once the weather gets a tad chillier, pair with some over the knee boots! I love flat over the knee boots with long flowy tops- it’s a perfect balance!

Weekly Pamper Night Routine with Suave Body Wash

body wash pamper night

My favorite night of the week is pamper night! There’s nothing better than feeling relaxed & refreshed! I try to do this at least once a week to unwind, relax and gather myself! Once a month I do a little extra pampering like painting my nails and doing a hair mask, but today, I figured I would share my weekly, at-home pamper routine with you all!

Set the Mood

I start my pamper night by lighting some candles. I try to avoid any other lights if possible and just enjoy the candlelight. There’s just something so relaxing and calming about the flickering of a candle’s flames. I then drown out the background noise with some calming music, an audio book, or even Netflix on my Ipad. I also grab a glass of my favorite wine.

The New Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette | Swatches & Review

Morning lovelies! I am so excited to share with you Jaclyn Hill’s new eyeshadow palette in collaboration with Morphe Brushes! I have been watching Jaclyn Hill on YouTube for so many years and she has influenced a lot of things in my life, such as beauty products, hair, and fashion. She was probably one of the first people I watched on YouTube, which lead me to watching and following so many others like her.

Jaclyn’s palette has sold out for the 3rd time but looks like they will be restocking again soon. You can put your email address in on their website here and they will notify you when the restock date is set.

Today I want to share with you some swatches from this beautiful palette, as well as my thoughts on each color! So, let’s get started!

The Palette Packaging

First, and foremost, let’s talk about the packaging. I did receive my palette in a well packaged box, inside a large cardboard box. The palette was padded inside a thin box/case, and then covered in bubble wrap inside the cardboard box that was sent. I was so disappointed when I opened my palette to see that the corner was dented- like someone had dropped it prior to packing it up in the box. I only know it was damaged prior to packaging because the thin box/case it came in was not dented like the palette was. Thankfully, when I opened the palette, the colors were all still intact. I LOVE that the palette is WHITE vs. the standard Morphe black palettes, however, I wish it was more of a plastic material rather than cardboard-like. I’m sure they wanted to go with something a bit less expensive since they are using higher quality shadows in this palette. Also inside the palette came a list of the shadow colors, as pictured below.

My Birthday Celebrations + Outfit Details

Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone had a great weekend & a great start to their week! With the Eclipse, my dog’s birthday and my birthday, we had an eventful past few days! I thought I would share with you what I did for my birthday this year!

I had been trying to get to the Sunflower fields at the Pope Farm Conservancy- it’s just on the Verona/Middleton border near Madison, Wisconsin. Each day I’ve tried to go it either didn’t work out due to plans or the weather was bad. Sunday, the last day of the peak of the sunflowers, we finally made it! It was just as beautiful as I had imagined & pictures don’t even do it justice! It was a hot one on Sunday, so even in my dress and Conor in his shorts and t-shirt, we were pretty sweaty by the end of the trip! I’ve included some photos below from our visit. I can’t wait to go again next year!

Milk Makeup Foundation and Dab + Blend Applicator Review | Influenster VoxBox

I received the Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation ($40 value) and the Dab + Blend Applicator ($14 value) from Influenster recently and have been testing it out! Today I am sharing my thoughts and review, as well as some photos of the products!

Disclaimer**I received this product free from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

At first, I thought the color I chose was way off, but after trying it on the skin, it was pretty darn perfect! Funny how different makeup looks on skin than in packaging.

I received the shade light and golden light.
