Ever since I started listening to audio books, I just can’t “put them down”. Â I started listening to audio books when my commute to work became a little longer. Â They help me mentally prepare for work on my way in, and decompress on my way home. Â I also think they are also great for getting ready in the morning, or cleaning the house. Â The majority of my books have been self-help books, but sometimes like to listen to some non-fiction books. Â Below is a list of some of my most recent books and my thoughts. Rich Bitch: A Simple 12-Step Plan for Getting Your Financial Life Together… Finally
– This was my first audio book and I love Nicole Lapin’s outlook on taking control of your life and your money. Â I think this book is best for the young professional, as it goes over a lot of tips and tricks for those who are getting ready to buy a car, or buy a house, which I had already done. Â It definitely didn’t hurt listening to her advice though. My favorite part of the book, and one that I will always remember is in the part of the book when she talks about saving money, and that you should NEVER skip your daily coffee run. Â Her reasoning is the best! Â You’ll have to read it (or listen to it) to know what I’m talking about. 😉
“The sooner you can speak the language of money, the sooner you can live the life you want. Lapin guides you step by step, first showing you how to make a list of goals, then devising a plan to make sure you achieve them – debt free, worry free, and in control. It’s time to stop fearing finances and let Rich Bitch help you face the facts. You’re not alone in this anymore!”
You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life
This book just gave me life! I loved every minute of it and she is so relate-able! Â This is a self-help book written by life coach, Jen Sincero. Â Jen tells it how it is and what to do to be a “badass” and live your life. Â She touches on everything from relationships to careers to just down right getting what you want in life. Â This book is so easy to listen to and I’m sure is so easy to read. Â She keeps you wanting more with every chapter.
The Sweet Life: Find Passion, Embrace Fear, and Create Success on Your Own Terms
After recently starting my own YouTube Channel, I came across Dulce Candy Ruiz’s YouTube Channel and fell in LOVE with her! She is so down to earth and has such a large following on YouTube. Â She tells her life story in this book and I seriously COULD NOT STOP listening to this book. Â I finished it in one day! Â She tells the story about crossing the border into the United States and how she was in the military, and then ended up as a famous YouTube beauty guru. Â If you haven’t listened to this book, or read this book, definitely do it!
I have heard about the book and the movie, The Secret for many years and have never read the book or watched the movie, so I figured I better figure out what all the fuss is about. Â This book basically teaches you that what you think about, you bring about, and discusses the law of attraction. Â If you think negative thoughts, more negative thoughts will attract to you. Â After listening to it, I can’t help but think about how many times I have had a bad morning, and all I could think about was bad thoughts, and then more bad things happened throughout my day. Â If only I just had the mindset to think positively, my day would’ve improved.
I am currently listening to this, and am almost done, but can say that it is a great book and I highly recommend reading it.
