Happy 2018!! Can you believe it’s already here?! I can’t! If you missed my 2017 recap post, see it here. I also shared “What I Got for Christmas 2017” the other day, so don’t forget to check that out! 2017 was one of the best years of my life, but also came with lots of challenges! 2017 is going to be a hard year to beat, but starting out with a plan is the best way to go into a new year! Today, I want to share with you some of my 2018 goals, along with some fun workout outfits!
2018 Goals:
Get Organized
Unsubscribe from Unnecessary Emails
Get My Finances in order + SAVE Money
Work on Being More Punctual
Go to Sleep Early + Get Up Early
Try to Avoid My Phone While In Bed
Grow My Following
Get Healthy
My biggest goal in 2018 is to get my sh*t together… and by that I mean to get my life a bit more organized. I want to plan out my blog posts better, have a more organized lifestyle, and after a wedding and honeymoon, which as you may know are huge expenses, I would love to get my finances back in order and start saving big. Lastly, I want to get healthy. I’ve been on kicks where I eat super healthy, but then end up going right back into eating junk. I need to find a balance. Since we are trying to save money, a gym is out of the question, so I decided I’m going to do at home workouts in the mornings before work at LEAST 3 days a week! My husband gets up for work between 4 and 4:30 am every weekday so I figured I would get up with him and then do my workouts then. This way I still have time to get ready, hang with my dogs, etc. before heading off to work! I’m sure you guys are all like, what?! 4:30 am is wayyy too early for me! But, I am actually better off when I work out in the morning. I’m more of a morning person than I am a night person and when I do workouts in the evening, I have way too much energy before bed.
Why am I telling you all this? Because you, my friends, are going to be my accountability partners! By sharing this with you, I have to stick with it right?!
Affordable Workout Outfits
One thing that gets me super excited to work out is a cute workout outfit. Even if you’re working out at home, just putting those cute workout clothes on makes me motivated and ready to work out! I’ve put together a few affordable workout outfit pieces that are perfect for the New Year and are good for those on a budget, like me! Plus I did a “Try on Haul” featuring these pieces!

2018 Goal – spend more quality time with family and friends. I get so wrapped up in all of the things going on that I never get to actually spend quality time with anyone – it’s always quick and in the middle of an event or gathering. I plan to do this by focusing more on my schedule and balancing what events I need to be present at vs ones I can miss. This will allow me more flexibility to schedule quality time with family and friends! Instagram @shawnaconnolly

I LOVE this!! Don’t forget to spend time with me 😉 I’m “family” right?! 😉

Your resolutions are actually incredibly realistic and helpful! I love the idea of going to bed without phone (I constantly play games before I go to bed and then I switch to my laptop and fall asleep watching Judge Judy – sad I know!) and unsubscribe from unneccesary emails (such a good one!). I live in Spain so I’ve signed up to a countless number of Spanish emails but I think there is a conspiracy and somehow they’ve found out my Spanish is bad and I can’t unsubscribe 🙁 which means I should work on my Spanish too! Thanks for the mega ideas 💚
Kelsie Kristine says
Oh my gosh! How funny!! I tried to make my goals realistic and reachable! I have a ton more “business-type” goals, but wanted to put more general goals! I still fall asleep with the TV on usually, so avoiding the phone and laptop before bed will be a huge change for me and will hopefully help me sleep better! Thanks for reading!

One of my 2018 goals is to get fit and healthier! I started seriously working on losing weight back in November (36 pounds so far), and want to continue. I have about 42 more to go for my goal. Also, great giveaway!! I love it!! My instagram handle is @armywifeblogger

Great goals! You seem like a very motivated and hard-working person! I think I should put unsubbing from unnecessary emails as one of my goals too, as it creates unnecessary stress for me.
Kelsie Kristine says
It’s such a great thing to do! I try to do it at least once a year! The new year is when I try to save the most money, so by removing those emails that make me want to buy things, it helps so much!! Thanks for reading!

I’m with you on the organized thing. I started to do it at the end of 2017 and just that little bit made such a huge difference. I’m hoping that I can really do the whole overhaul 2018!

Jessica Keely says
My goals for 2018-
I would like to spend more time for myself. On a daily bases my energy and time is put forth towards my patients, my kids, and my home life. I very rarely set aside time for me, and this year I plan to do that!! I mean how can you truely take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself first? Right?!! Also this year I want to be more healthy, spend more quality time with my kids, take the whole family on a vacation, and plan our wedding reception with ease!! Hope this year is the best!

I LOVE that! Yes, you definitely need to take time for yourself! I think of it as being in an airplane- they say to put the oxygen mask on yourself before you can help others, because if you don’t have oxygen, you can’t help anyone else that needs it. Wishing you the best of luck with your goals!
Samantha R. says
In 2018 I need to work on saying NO a bit more. I tend to exhaust myself by saying yes to others all the time and then on the back end of things I am either exhausting myself or heightening my anxiety. Saying no will not only slow life down a bit but will also give me more time to evaluate my priorities and the things that absolutely need attention like family, work, my health etc.
Kelsie Kristine says
Girrrrll… I know what you mean!! It’s hard to say No, but sometimes you just have to! You have to do it for your own sanity! You can’t please everyone and that’s okay!! 😉
Niki Trepanier says
My biggest goal for 2018 (May) is to get into a shape that I feel confident and sexy in – I’m doing a surprise boudoir shoot for our anniversary as a gift to my hubby – so I want to feel confident! Not sure where that mark will be but working every day towards it, and working to be more self-compassionate when I slip up. 💕
Kelsie Kristine says
That is awesome! I wanted to do one for Conor as a surprise for our wedding, but things just got way too busy with planning! You got this girl!!

Along with the normal, work out more, get outside more, etc,, I made a goal this year to put my phone in the bedroom for an hour every evening and focus only on the family!
