With the new year upon us, I wanted to share a little more on fitness, but this time I’m sharing my 5 TIPS that have helped me get MOTIVATED to workout over the past 3 months.

How I Got Back into Working Out – Peter Kraus Fitness
I talked in my Affordable Activewear post about how I’ve been going to Peter Kraus Fitness 2 times a week! It had been so long since I had been to a gym and I needed to get my butt in shape. Peter’s classes are an hour long and most days I have someone else to go with me! Sticking with a consistent schedule was the easiest way for me to get back in the groove of working out.

How I Get/Stay Motivated to Work Out
- Pack Ahead of Time – have a specific bag for the gym. I have a cute pink floral bag that I found from Target. Pick out your outfit and pack your bag the night before.
- Cute Activewear – I love having cute activewear to pick from. It gets me motivated to want to change into my workout clothes. There’s no going back once you’re changed, right?! 😉
{Read my post on Affordable Activewear} - Accountability Partner – This is HUGE – even the thought that someone I know might be at the workout class gets my butt to the gym! Find your best accountability partner and use each other to keep you on track!
- When SORE, Don’t STOP – my hardest struggle with getting back into working out is that when I am super sore after my first time back at the gym, I don’t go back for a while. Instead, the best thing to do is to keep going consistently and work through the soreness.
- Don’t just go to the gym, take a CLASS!!!! – a gym class pushes you harder than you would push yourself. I would spend most of my time wandering at the gym, not knowing what to do for a workout. Now that I’ve been taking classes, I feel like I get so much more done when I go to the gym between classes.
