Trying Out a Hair Crimper/Waver

May 3, 2020 Uncategorized

I’m excited to finally share this post! I’ve been wanting to try all the newest hair trends, which are pretty much older trends that are finally coming back. I ordered a bunch of new hot tools from Amazon to play around with while stuck at home. If you follow me on stories, you’ve probably seen them all already, but I wanted to do a first impression of the hair crimper first.

Did anyone else used to love crimping their hair back in the day? The crimper I owned was more of a “z” crimper and it did NOT look great on me! haha So when crimping came back, needless to say, I was skeptical. I still had to give it a try though. Read on to hear my thoughts and to see how long the crimp wave lasted.

First Impression – Hair Crimper

The tool is pretty cool. It’s basically 3 barrels which create the cutest waves in the hair. I’m shocked at how well the waves turned out, and even more shocked at HOW LONG they lasted in my hair. I shared it all on Instagram, so you may already know, but I left these waves in for 4 days without adding any dry shampoo or anything! Crazy, right?

How to Use

Using this tool is pretty easy – I started by sectioning off my hair into 3 parts – top, middle, bottom. I start on the bottom layer and pull a small chunk of hair to get started. Start using the tool towards the root of your hair and follow the grooves of the barrels while moving to the ends of your hair. (You don’t need to go super close to your scalp when doing your bottom layers) Follow along on the video below to see how to use the barrel. It’s super easy!

I’ll be sharing a few more hair tutorials soon, so be sure you’re subscribed on the blog and on YouTube so you don’t miss out. Thanks so much for reading/watching.

I hope you’re all staying safe, happy, and healthy during this time!
