Edgy Valentine's Day Outfit Idea + Other Picks

Happy Tuesday friends! I just got back from a quick weekend in Nashville and it’s back to reality today. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and whether you’re going out with girlfriends or on a date with your loved one, it’s time to start thinking about what to wear out. I’m sharing a fun outfit idea for Valentine’s Day, along with tons of other adorable picks for today’s post.

Edgy Valentine’s Day Outfit

Obviously RED is perfect for Valentine’s Day and I found the cutest red sweater from Amazon that I thought would work! It has bubble sleeves and a higher neck line, making it perfect to pair some dainty layered necklaces.

Faux leather is also in style right now! I saw one of my blogger favs, @chocolateismyvice share these adorable faux leather drawstring shorts from Amazon. I haven’t had a reason to wear them recently because of the colder weather, but when my Nashville trip came up, I knew it was the perfect time to bust them out! You never know what you are going to get from Amazon, but you GUYS… these shorts are amazing!! They have a very similar feel to leather and the drawstring actually works, it’s not just for looks. The red sweater goes super well with the shorts too!

It was getting pretty dark in these photos, so you can’t tell, but my tights are sheer black and not as opaque as they appear in these photos. It looks better if you don’t have solid on solid. It was a little chilly out, so tights are the way to go, but you can definitely style these without tights too! I got the tights idea from my friend @ashmarieanderson who recently styled faux leather shorts with tights.

The boots are new from Nordstrom, but have been selling out- they’re currently in stock in some sizes. If you follow me on Instagram, I recently shared some faux suede booties from Amazon that are honestly more comfortable than these, so I would highly recommend them. Both of the combat boots are super cute though!
