I Tried Murad and Here’s What I Think

May 20, 2016 Skin Care

I have struggled with acne and breakouts for years, tried everything under the sun to treat it, and I have never been to the point where I feel comfortable in public without makeup on or just comfortable with my skin in general, until recently…

A few month’s ago, I had my first facial done in Madison at Massage Envy.  First off, let me say that everyone needs to get a facial once in their lives.  It is amazing!  You feel so refreshed and rejuvenated.   They recommend facials once a month or every few months.  Massage Envy uses all Murad products for their facials.  I have heard of Murad before, but have never tried it.  The professional esthetician who worked with me explained all of the products as they were put on my skin and I was very intrigued.  I did the ‘Clarifying Enzyme Acne Facial’ which included Murad’s line of acne products.  I  gave it a few days to make sure my skin didn’t have any reactions to the products used on my face, and then decided to try out the Murad 30-day acne starter kit.  (Make sure you use EBates when shopping online to get cash back- Ulta’s current cash back is 3% –  If you have never used EBates before, you get $10 just for signing up too!)  The 30-day acne starter kit comes with a Clarifying Cleanser, Acne Clearing Solution, Acne Spot Fast Fix, and an Oil-Control Mattifier with SPF.

When trying a new skin regimen, you should always allow 30 days of using the products before loving or hating them.  Typically, when trying a new product, my skin breaks out first and then slowly gets better.  Most of the products I use work well for a while, but my skin must get used to them and then it gets worse than before I started.  With Murad,  I have had 3 straight weeks of great skin, which is HUGE for me!!!  I can’t remember the last time I had skin that looked this great for this long!  I can also wear less makeup, since I don’t need to cover as many blemishes, which saves me money in the long run- huge plus!

When nearing the end of my Murad 30-day acne starter trial, I knew I loved the product, so I decided to purchase the full 60-day acne control kit.  The 60-day kit comes with everything in the 30-day starter kit, plus a Skin Perfecting Lotion.

If you have problem skin, I highly recommend you try the 30-day acne starter kit and see for yourself if it works like it did for me!

If you do try it, or have tried it in the past, let me know your thoughts below.  I would love to hear everyone’s story!
