It’s FRIDAYY…so you know what that means…another Beauty Mix look is being shared! Now that we’re into fall, we’re getting into that smokey, vampy, Halloween time of year and I can’t wait for the upcoming looks. Today’s look is all about that smokey eye. My original plan for this look was going to be super simple and easy, more of an everyday, wearable smokey eye, but once I sat down to do the look, things changed. I shared a blue smokey look on my Instagram a few months ago and I never shared it on the blog. I figured this would be the perfect time to do so!
{If you don’t know what the Beauty Mix Series is, a few other beauty bloggers, Jasmine, Ashleigh, Lily and I have collaborated to do a makeup look each week based on a certain theme/color! You can check out all of our collaborations HERE!}
The Look
I am loving this Bobbi Brown Night Drama Palette, especially the blue shade (indigo night). This look was super easy to achieve. I first used Dawn Haze in the crease, then Molten Sky just above the crease. I then placed the Indigo Night Shade all over the lid. I finished off the eyelids with Galactic in the outer v area to make that blue a little darker. On the bottom of the eyes, along the lash line I used chocolate and buffed it out with the Dawn Haze shade.
I did film this look, but I don’t know how much I love the way it looked on camera. I had a few technical difficulties with my camera this time around and with the week I’ve had, I just couldn’t get it edited in time. If I do end up putting up the video, I will be sharing it on my Facebook and add it to this post once it’s live.
I didn’t notice until after I uploaded the photos that there were a lot of creases showing, but to the naked eye, I did not notice them! I think the shadows look better in person than in photos!
