Happy Wednesday! A few weeks ago I got a chemical peel at Robertson Cosmetic Center and I am finally able to share my results with you! This is my second chemical peel at RCC. The first one was a mild peel, so for this one, we decided to go a little more intense.
I shared my experience with getting a HydraFacial at RCC a few months back, so be sure to check that out that post and video if you haven’t already.
About Robertson Cosmetic Center
Robertson Cosmetic Center is a physician-based medical center with two locations – Middleton, WI and Sun Prairie, WI. They have a team of licensed medial professionals and specialize in aesthetic injectables, lasers, chemical peels and skin care, along with facial plastics and oculoplastics.
I have been working with Katelyn (@skinbykatelyn) and she has been amazing! If you decide to go to RCC for any treatments, you should definitely see her! Let her know I sent you! They do free consultations too!
The Chemical Peel
I did a PCA peel with Katelyn this time. First, she started with dermaplaning. They do this with most of their treatments and it is amazing! It removes all of the peach fuzz and dead skin on your face before the treatment and your skin feels baby soft! For the peel I did this time, she started with a pre-treatment mask after the dermaplaning. She then did 2 layers of peel with dry time in between. She then went in with a treatment correcting serum and then a hydrating serum, and finished it off with a retinol booster.
Post-Peel + Results
Immediately after the treatment, you will have lots of serums left on your skin that soaks in throughout the rest of the day. You need to leave the serums on the skin until the next morning and then can use the post-procedure kit from PCA Skin that she gave me (shown in the video). It has a face wash, clini-calm for irritation, SPF because you don’t want any sun exposure on your fresh skin, a re-balance moisturizer – lighter moisturizer for the daytime, silkcoat balm – balmy consistency more for nighttime. Below are my day by day results. Some days are skipped because they look similar to the days surrounding.
Wearing Makeup – I was still able to wear makeup for the first 1-3 days. Around day 3-4 I was still able to wear makeup, but it was a bit more difficult with all of the peeling, so I went with no makeup for most of days 4-6.
I peeled more around my mouth and nose than anywhere. My forehead peeled for one day and then it was done.
My post-peel skin feels so amazing! My skin looks nice and plump and glowy and makeup also looks amazing on it! There are no filters on these photos and no editing was done whatsoever. I took them in the same room each day. My freckles will always be there, but you can definitely tell a difference in my skin from Day 1 to Day 7! I also vlogged the chemical peel and post-peel day by day progress on my YouTube channel, so be sure to watch the video for more info!
Have you ever had a chemical peel like this? If so, let me know what you think in the comments below!
