Happy Wedding Wednesday!! I know it has been a while since I got married, but we got our wedding photos over the holidays and I wanted to wait until all of the holiday stuff died down before sharing our wedding with you all!
First off, I want to say that our wedding day was the best day ever, literally! It couldn’t have been more perfect (well, there is one thing that could’ve made it better, but more on that later)! Conor and I had been together for a little over 9 years by the time of our wedding! Crazy long, right? We were very young when we first started dating and stayed together through lots of change and growth in our lives. We bought our house almost 3 years ago now and got engaged just after that, so we wanted to stay engaged for a bit before getting married.
If you didn’t know, I was part of the Love, Madison Weddings Bride Blogger Team in 2017. You can find some of my engagement photos and other posts on their website.
I will be sharing my wedding gallery on the Love, Madison Weddings website too!

9.15.2017 Our Wedding
The Venue
I did a blog post in the past about Finding Our Perfect Wedding Venue, and it was just that, perfect! We chose to have our ceremony and reception at the Lageret in Stoughton, Wisconsin. The venue is an old tobacco warehouse with an industrial/rustic style.
The Dress & Accessories
I LOVE my dress! I also did a post about finding the perfect bridal gown in Wisconsin. My dress is from Marah’s Elegant Bridal in Mt. Horeb. The dress is an Essense of Australia dress with a sweetheart top. I added a belt (that was my cousin’s from her wedding) and also added straps. I went back and forth on adding straps to the dress and I’m so glad I did! They were able to be removed, so I wore them for the ceremony and took them off for dinner and the dance!
My shoes were also perfect! I actually found them right away on the day I started looking for shoes. I wanted something with a little bit of rose gold and sparkle, as well as a shoe with a lower heel. These were so comfortable. My mom actually found my jewelry for me. I wanted something not too chunky, rose gold and with a pendant or some kind of stone. My mom nailed it with these Givenchy earrings and necklace. My hairpiece was from my parents wedding, so it was very special to me!Â
The Bridesmaid Dresses
First off, the satin floral robes were one of the girl’s gifts, along with a super cute rose gold necklace with a small teardrop stone – similar to my necklace, but a smaller version. The robes were found on ETSY and were so affordable! They are one-size and they fit everyone perfectly! My white satin robe is from Victoria’s secret. Hair and Makeup were done by Sabatke Hair & Makeup Transformations and Sara Marie Artistry.
The girl’s bridesmaid dresses were from David’s Bridal in the shade Quartz. I let them choose what styles of dresses they wanted, I just wanted them to be the same color. I went back and forth between burgundy(wine) and the quartz color and even when the girl’s got their dresses I still wasn’t 100% thrilled with my color choice, but when the day came and I saw the beautiful ladies in their dresses, I knew it was the right choice! I had them choose which shoes they wanted to wear, I just asked that it was a nude color.
Conor’s Tux & Accessories
We decided to have Conor go with a bow tie and his groomsmen to wear ties and I am so glad we did that! He looked so great in that bow tie. His Tux was rented from Jos. A. Bank. The watch is from Jord Watches- I just love the wood element! His socks and leather oxford shoes were purchased from J.C. Penney. I loved those shoes on him!
The Groomsmen
Conor’s groomsmen tuxes, as well as shoes, were rented from Jos. A. Bank. As I said before, we had them wear ties and Conor wore a bow tie and I thought it looked perfect together. We also chose to have Conor in a navy tux and his groomsmen in the grey.
Floral
Our florist was Jamae with Flora by Jamae. She is actually based inside the Lageret so it was perfect! When I first saw my bouquet of flowers, my jaw literally dropped! They were so perfect, and all of the other floral pieces for the wedding were stunning as well!
We decided to go very minimal with any flowers or greenery around the venue because the venue had so much character already, and we were also trying to stick with a budget. I loved more of the greenery than anything throughout the venue! Jamae did a wonderful job of working with us and putting together beautiful pieces.
The First Look
We decided to do a first look so we could have our own moment to see each other before the ceremony. Conor wasn’t a huge fan of the idea, but looking back, we are so glad we did it. Not only did we have our own moment, but it helped calm the nerves of being in front of so many people and seeing each other for the first time. We were also able to get a lot of our group photos done before the ceremony, which was a huge help too!
The Ceremony
This sign was made by my friend Elizabeth from the Lofty Sparrow.
As some of you may know, my father passed away when I was younger so I asked my brother to walk me down the aisle. I actually shared it in a vlogmas video from last year too! It was very special!

Dinner
Dance
Our wedding song was “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. I love that we picked this song before it became popular because we hear it all of the time on the radio now and every time we hear it, it just makes us smile!
The day was perfect! The only thing that would’ve made it even better was if my sister Keisha could’ve been there. She was my matron of honor, but was pregnant and almost due with twins around the wedding so was unable to make the trip up to Wisconsin, so obviously this was out of her hands. She watched on face time though, so I was really happy she got to be a part of it that way! The only time I actually really cried at my wedding was after the ceremony when I got to see her on face time and say hi!
